A Recipe for Love
We met working in the bustling chaos of a restaurant kitchen — Elizabeth on prep and Paul on the line. Over the long days of prepping, chopping and sautéing, we became more and more drawn to each other. Paul was immediately attracted to Elizabeth’s eyes, and Elizabeth found Paul’s sense of humor charming. Initially, we were just friends. But as we continued working together, we realized we both wanted something more. We continue to be so grateful that our relationship was built on the foundation of a genuine friendship!
One night, in the quiet simplicity of home, Paul proposed at the side of the bed, asking Elizabeth to spend forever with him. In 2018, we tied the knot at Elizabeth’s parents’ home surrounded by our loved ones. It was a beautiful celebration of our love and commitment, and as a special touch, we catered it ourselves!
Six years later, we’re still best friends. traveling, trying new restaurants, binging our favorite shows and snuggling our dog, Arlo. Through every challenge and laugh, we balance each other, proving that the most meaningful love is sharing the joy of everyday moments. Elizabeth moves at a fast pace, bringing energy and adventure, while Paul’s steady pace ensures we slow down and soak in each moment. We are most proud of how hard we work and how we consistently treat each other with deep respect and admiration.
Building Our Family Through Adoption
Adoption was always in the back of our minds. Elizabeth grew up experiencing adoption in her family. Her grandma was an adoptee, so it felt like a natural possibility. After a year and a half of fertility treatments with no success, we had to face reality and grieve. Letting go of the hope of a biological child wasn’t easy, but once we did, a new kind of excitement took its place. Instead of dwelling on what wasn’t working, we focused on what could be. We don’t consider adoption a backup plan but a path to building the family we have always dreamed of.
We are confident that we will provide a loving, stable, and creative home for our future child. As we step into parenthood, we look forward to appreciating every moment — holding their hand on evening walks, reading exciting bedtime stories and watching their curiosity come alive as they explore the endless flavors of food, just as we once did together in the first kitchen where we met. Elizabeth is ready to embrace the adventure of being a stay-at-home mom and, together, we can’t wait for the memories we will make as a family. We hope to have an open adoption with whatever level of contact is comfortable for you. We are open to sharing updates, photos and having visits.

Meet Arlo
Arlo is our 24 pound rat terrier-beagle mix. He has the biggest personality packed into the smallest body. He’s stubborn, endlessly lovable and the ultimate snuggle buddy. He’s all heart when it comes to his people. Arlo can be a bit timid around children at first, but he is never aggressive. He fills our home with love, keeps life interesting and makes sure we never skip our daily walks, which is just as good for us as it is for him!
What Elizabeth Says About Paul
Paul is very calm and is an expert at calming me down when I need it. He is very affectionate and loves his family with all of his heart. He will be a great parent because of the tenderness and support he shows his family. His calm personality will make him a wonderful dad. He is approachable and always available if someone needs him. I know these qualities will be such a gift to our child!
