Why Adoption?
Even before having our three biological children, we felt called to foster care. For six years, we supported, accepted and advocated for children with diverse developmental needs and trauma histories. This experience helped us grow and adapt as parents. We loved our foster children just as deeply as our biological children, and we are so excited to now welcome a child into our family forever through adoption! Just as we built wonderful relationships with the families of our foster children, we want to create a supportive and meaningful relationship with you. We are open to in-person visits, texts, emails, frequent photos and videos, virtual visits – whatever makes you comfortable.
Meet Glorilee
Raised in Milwaukee by a single mom who worked hard as a nurse, I was inspired to pursue medicine. Now, I work part-time as an anesthesiologist, which gives me the flexibility to prioritize family life. We talk about our days over dinner, read together each night and enjoy one-on-one time, giving each child special attention. We also get to explore local zoos, museums, farm festivals and state parks as a family. These small everyday experiences have been my favorite part of parenting so far!
Meet Patrick
Growing up in the suburbs of Milwaukee, I was fortunate to have parents who worked hard as a teacher and police officer to provide a happy, secure childhood to me and my two older brothers. As a stay-at-home dad, my absolute priority is my children – whether biological, foster or adoptive. The kids often join me for DIY projects around the house. We’ve made a 3D printer, rebuilt the garage and started a vegetable garden. From volunteering at school to playing pretend games, parenting brings me joy and fulfillment.
Our Family and Home
Our family includes three children, four guinea pigs and a supportive network of extended family that has been built through not only blood but also foster care and adoption. We live in a walkable suburb near Aurora with great schools, playgrounds and welcoming neighbors. Our local music school gives the kids opportunities to learn instruments from piano and violin to oboe and guitar, filling our home with music.
