Hello
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We can only imagine the depth of love, strength and courage it takes to consider adoption for your child, and we want you to know how much we respect and admire your journey — wherever it may lead.
We are Andrew and Brendan, a couple who have dreamed of becoming parents and building a family filled with love, laughter and security. Our home is one where stories are read at bedtime, kindness is taught by example and every child is celebrated for exactly who they are. We hope this profile gives you a genuine glimpse into our lives, our values and the kind of parents we hope to be.
More than anything, we want you to know that if you choose us, your child will grow up knowing how deeply they are loved — not just by us, but by you, the incredibly brave person who brought them into this world.

About Us
We met in Chicago in 2020 and were long distance at the beginning of our relationship. Brendan was finishing his surgical residency in Chicago and Andrew was in law school in Missouri. We found in each other the kind of partner we never thought possible. We grew very close through humor and fun life experiences. In 2022, we moved in together in St. Louis where Brendan completed a surgical fellowship and Andrew’s started his first job as a lawyer. While there, Andrew proposed in a park, even though Brendan just thought he was tricking him into exercise. Once Brendan’s fellowship was complete, we decided to move back to Chicago where we currently reside in the Roscoe Village neighborhood. Andrew works as a corporate attorney in downtown Chicago and Brendan works as a trauma surgeon in Evanston.
We are so excited to have children to include in our lives and can’t wait to go on family bike rides, walks around the neighborhood with our dog Dottie, traveling and spending time with our families. Andrew has never been to Disney World, which will be high on our list of travel destinations once we have kids.

Meet Andrew
I grew up in a small farming town outside of St. Louis, and I’m one of four children. I worked with my dad and siblings on our family farm throughout my childhood, high school and college. After high school I went to college for engineering and worked as an engineer in my hometown for nearly eight years. Despite my career in engineering, I always had an interest in the law, so I decided to quit my job to go to law school at the University of Missouri. It was during law school that I met and fell in love with Brendan. I finished up law school and started my career in corporate law, which is my career today. I am a very active person who enjoys going to the gym, bicycling and being outdoors. I’ve also inherited my dad’s DIY attitude and have recently taken up wood working. I am working on building my own cabinets and bookshelves for our home office.
Meet Brendan
I am from a small town in Washington state, the youngest of four children. I moved to Chicago for college and stayed for medical school and residency. Between medical school and residency, I served in the Navy and Marine Corps as a doctor with jet squadrons, stationed in Cuba, Japan and Bahrain. Later, I returned to Chicago to complete my surgical residency, and then chose St. Louis for a trauma surgery and critical care fellowship, which was my first choice because I had fallen in love with Andrew. Today, I enjoy my career in medicine, but outside of work I am an avid reader, runner and I recently took up oil painting. I also convinced Andrew to get a dog, and now our pup Dottie has us both wrapped around her paw.

About Dottie
Our dog, Dottie, is a Pyrenees/Shepherd mix We adopted her when she was 9 months old and we have been very lucky that we both think she is the best dog in the world. She is very sweet and calm. She is also smart and learned her training very quickly. She will be the perfect friend to our child.
Our Home
We live in Roscoe Village in Chicago. We love this neighborhood because it has all the amenities of a large city within walking distance, but it’s also peaceful. We enjoy attending street festivals and going on impromptu walks with Dottie around the neighborhood to enjoy the quiet, tree-lined streets. Roscoe Village is full of young families and children, and there are several excellent schools in the neighborhood. Halloween in Roscoe Village is a spectacle with the over-the-top decorations, like 12 ft. tall skeletons, and children running around. We love that we can live in a vibrant community with a small town feel, while also living in one of the best big cities in America.

Openness
We like the idea of an open adoption and would want you to be as involved as you are comfortable with. From the beginning, we want your child to know where they came from and we want to keep communication open as much as possible. We would provide regular updates, pictures and videos about your child. We are also open to visits, FaceTimes and invitations to big moments in your child’s life.
