The Cradle, a nonprofit, licensed adoption and child welfare agency based in Evanston, Illinois, invites the community to join its mission of building families and ensuring every child thrives in a safe, loving home. Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, will take place on Dec. 3, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
All funds raised on Giving Tuesday will support The Cradle’s comprehensive services, which provide care and resources for expectant and birth parents, infants, people who were adopted, families and community members. They provide free options counseling and adoption services to expectant parents. With over 16,000 adoptions facilitated through its domestic and international programs, The Cradle is a trusted leader in adoption services, providing services and guidance to adoptive parents. It’s adoption-competent therapists offer adoption expertise and can work with all members of birth or adoptive families at any stage of life — whether the adoption was through The Cradle or not.
These are just some of the many ways The Cradle provides lifelong support to those touched by adoption. Every donation, no matter the size, directly impacts the individuals and families The Cradle serves.
“As we mark 101 years of service, The Cradle remains steadfast in our commitment to ethical adoption practices and our mission to support families, empower parents and build bright futures for children,” said Kristina Lederer, The Cradle’s Vice President of Development. “This Giving Tuesday, we come together to celebrate the power of connection and invest in the next century of impact, ensuring The Cradle remains a vital resource for families for generations to come.”
The Cradle invites the community to get involved this Giving Tuesday by donating, sharing The Cradle’s mission on social media or starting their own peer-to-peer fundraiser. To learn more and follow live updates on the campaign’s impact, visit https://thecradle.causevox.com.
