We are so grateful for your time and for learning more about us. It is hard to sum up who we are in just a few words, but we hope you see how close we are as a family — the fun and goofy moments we share and, most importantly, the love we have to give. Our family is made up of the people we love and is what matters most to us. We are so excited to grow our family and welcome another child into our lives.
Our Story
We met online almost 10 years ago and have been by each other’s side every day since. Our first date, dinner, started with a drive into Chicago, which meant traffic, and a lot of time to kill. Halfway through, Jeff shared that he wanted eight kids; Corey smiled and told himself it was just dinner, but dinner turned into a spontaneous camping trip that same weekend — an adventure we both loved. That adventure is where Jeff discovered how caring, thoughtful and prepared Corey was. Jeff brought his clothes, Corey brought the rest. Since then, we have navigated many significant life changes together, including our engagement, finding and buying our current home, new careers, our marriage and the adoption of our two children.

Adoption is deeply woven into our family. Being surrounded by so many loving examples, and having experienced the joy of adoption ourselves, adoption has always felt like the right path for us, and we are grateful for the love that connects us.
We believe wholeheartedly in an open adoption and the permanent connection you will always have with your child. It is our promise to maintain and foster that connection in ways that feel right for you. We are ready to support you, whether you would like to maintain communication and visits, or you find yourself needing time and space during this process. Regardless, we will ensure your child will always know who you are and that they are loved.
Jeff According to Corey
Jeff is one of the most dedicated, hardworking, and thoughtful people I know. At the same time, he brings so much energy, laughter and fun into our lives. Jeff is an attorney and works hard to support our family, but he always makes time for the people he loves. He is great at staying connected with friends and family and makes everyone feel cared for.
As a parent, Jeff is patient, present and deeply loving. He shows up every day, whether that means helping with homework, coaching through big feelings, or being silly when the moment calls for it. He pushes all of us to be the best versions of ourselves, and I feel incredibly lucky and honored to parent alongside him. Life with Jeff is full of love, laughter and teamwork, and I truly enjoy sharing my life with him.
Corey According to Jeff
Where Jeff is a planner, Corey is more spontaneous, which brings a welcome flexibility to our lives. Corey is incredibly supportive of me and our family and always prioritizes others. He is a kind, loving and thoughtful partner in life, always ready to lend a hand. He has a big imagination and a get‑it‑done attitude, often taking on projects around the house to help our family.
As a dad, Corey leads with compassion and fun. He connects with our children through shared interests, like swimming, and has a natural way of making them feel important and understood. Corey is always ready to listen and shows up for our children. Whether he is cooking up a storm in the kitchen or driving the kids to their many activities, I admire his patience, his humor and the wonderful example he sets for all of us.
About Our Kids
Cris is our kind, goofy and energetic 11-year-old. He loves outer space, making comics, and music. You will often hear him explaining how black holes work, working on one of his stories or checking to see if it is a clear night to bring out his telescope. He is a devoted big brother to his younger sister and has such a big heart for his family. He is beyond excited about the idea of welcoming another sibling.
Aalyiah is our creative, sweet and curious 8-year-old. She loves unicorns, drawing and reading, and often has a book or sketchpad close by. She is gentle, has a great imagination and has a wonderful sense of humor. Aalyiah brings warmth and joy into our home and loves spending time with her family, whether that is playing games, doing art projects or curling up together to read or watch a movie.

We will honor your child’s story and make sure they know how deeply they are loved — not just by us, but by you as well.
