Hi there!

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us! Our life together started 18 years ago and, since then, has been full of adventure, love, laughter, respect, connection, nature and animals. From the very beginning, we always knew that we wanted to build a family together. We are truly thankful for the possibility of becoming parents through adoption, and we know any step forward you might take requires incredible courage and trust. We hold deep respect for that. We hope that as you learn a little more about us you will see the love, laughter and sense of belonging that fill our home and the life we would be honored to share as parents.

Justin, from Brittany’s eyes

My absolute favorite thing about Justin is his love for life and his ability to brighten any moment. He has the most amazing smile, and the laugh that follows is contagious. You can’t help but laugh with him, even when he’s laughing at his own joke. He has a natural ability to connect with anyone he meets and makes people feel seen and special.

Justin has been my steady support system for 18 years. Together, we’ve learned how to lean on one another through all of life’s ups and downs. No matter what we’re facing, he can give me a hug and remind me that there is still so much joy in life and that not everything has to be taken so seriously. Justin makes life more fun, brighter and full of happiness. I know he will be a loving, playful and encouraging father who helps a child feel safe, celebrated and endlessly supported.

Brittany, from Justin’s eyes

Brittany came into my life 18 years ago, and I immediately saw that she was not only strong and determined, but also deeply empathetic and compassionate. She knows what she wants and goes after it wholeheartedly. Brittany is a zoologist at Lincoln Park Zoo, and I see every day how much she cares about the well-being of animals.

Over the years, we have watched friends and family grow their families, and I’ve seen the pure joy Brittany finds in being around children. She has incredible patience, a huge heart and a natural nurturing presence. She is also a total goofball and, for reasons we still joke about, is convinced she’s Irish, red hair included. As much as I want to be a parent, I want even more to see Brittany have the chance to raise a child and share her love, warmth and compassion every single day.

Our Home

Our home is surrounded by family, nature and a strong sense of community. Our home is especially meaningful because we are surrounded by family, allowing us to share life’s joys and challenges with constant love and support. Brittany’s sister and her family live directly behind us, and our parents are just fifteen minutes away. Our nieces are already excited to welcome a cousin, and it means so much to know our child will grow up with built-in playmates and the chance to form lifelong bonds just steps from our door. The life we have created is already so special to us, we cannot wait to fill it with even more love and memories with a child.
