The Cradle offers virtual psychoeducational support groups, moderated by Nina Friedman, LCSW, Director of Post Adoption Support. Having the opportunity to connect with others, and to share with and hear from those who understand your experience, is important. These groups will allow you to talk about the challenges and joys you may have experienced, while receiving support from a clinically trained therapist.

Join us from 7 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Central Time every Tuesday from Sept. 30 to Nov. 4 (six weeks) for a virtual psychoeducational support group series moderated by Nina Friedman, LCSW, The Cradle’s Director of Post Adoption Support. For adult adoptees over the age of 21, this group will address the Seven Core Issues in Adoption as identified by Silverstein and Kaplan:

Understanding these core issues, and how they impact your life, can be validating. Participants can expect to talk about their experiences, hear other people’s stories, struggles and joys, give and receive support, and better understand the lasting effects of the adoption experience.
