Fundraise for Families

Host a Fundraiser

Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate a milestone, share your story or just have fun while supporting a good cause?

You can do this and more as a peer-to-peer fundraiser for The Cradle! Dedicate your birthday or special occasion, run a marathon, host a garage sale or create a unique campaign of your own — all while directly supporting children and families and raising awareness of The Cradle’s mission.

Ready to make a difference? Start by downloading our Peer Fundraising Toolkit for helpful tips, templates and walkthroughs. Then, head over to CauseVox to create your personal fundraising page and kick off your campaign!

Giving Tuesday

Each year, The Cradle raises nearly half of its gifts from individuals between October and December. A significant portion of these gifts come on Giving Tuesday, a global day of grassroots philanthropy celebrated on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. As a peer fundraiser, you can leverage Giving Tuesday, help raise critical year-end funds, and introduce new friends and family to The Cradle’s mission.

If you have any questions about Giving Tuesday after reading our Peer Fundraising Toolkit, please contact jleist@cradle.org or call 847-733-3227.

Giving Through Other Platforms

Many Cradle donors choose to raise funds through Facebook. While this makes it easy to tap into your social networks, there are also drawbacks. Donations made through Facebook are not tax-deductible, and The Cradle may not receive donor information, making it harder to process gifts and thank contributors. For help creating a fundraising page, which you easily post on Facebook and other social media platforms, check out our Peer Fundraising Toolkit.

The Cradle Foundation is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization created in 2003 to raise and manage funds in support of The Cradle’s programs and services. The Cradle Foundation’s Federal Tax Identification Number is 45-0506764.
